Accessibility
Last updated: October 23, 2026
We want every child to be able to play and every parent to be able to manage their account. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That is our goal, not a certification: no outside audit has been done yet.
What we do
- Every game, form and menu works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to main content” link.
- Pages use real headings, landmarks, labelled form fields and buttons, so screen readers can find their way around.
- Answer feedback (right, not quite, explanations) is announced to screen readers, and never relies on colour alone.
- No game has a timer. Children can take as long as they need.
- A “Read aloud” button on questions uses your device's own voice, so early readers can listen.
- Text and controls are designed for strong colour contrast, large touch targets, and zoom up to 200% without losing content.
- Animations are kept small, and turned off when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Printable sheets are plain black-and-white pages with large text.
- We check pages with automated accessibility tests (axe) and by hand with a keyboard before releases.
Known limitations
- Pattern Builder shows shapes and colours. Each shape has a text name for screen readers, but the puzzles are still visual.
- Read aloud depends on the voices your browser and device provide, and isn't available in every browser.
- We haven't yet tested with every screen reader and browser combination.
Tell us about a problem
If something is hard to use, please email privacy@kidorizon.com (this mailbox is still being set up, so messages may not arrive yet) with the page and what happened. We treat accessibility problems as bugs and fix them as a priority.
